Meet Alexandra Cano,
Chicago Therapist
My STORY
I initially set out on a career path that seemed promising, but the further I went, the more I realized it was not making me happy. A pivotal moment of reflection led me to counseling, a field where I found my true passion. I see it as an opportunity to compassionately support others in managing anxiety, navigating life’s challenges, and understanding themselves better. My goal is to help others rediscover peace and joy in their lives.
MY philosophy
My counseling philosophy is centered on helping individuals navigate life’s challenges through acceptance, skill implementation, and resilience building. I believe that by cultivating a compassionate and thoughtful approach, we can work together to embrace the present moment and develop practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and other obstacles. My goal is to empower clients with the tools they need to face their difficulties head-on and build lasting resilience.

STYLE/PERSONALITY
In our sessions, I adopt a gentle and inquisitive manner to uncover the roots of current issues. By thoughtfully exploring these underlying factors, we can identify effective ways to counteract and correct them. My ultimate aim is to guide clients towards a path of healing, where they can rediscover peace and joy in their lives.
As a compassionate therapist, my mission is to support individuals facing anxiety, life changes, disappointment, body image issues, stress, women’s issues, and depression. I offer a caring environment for all clients.
Additionally, I offer Christian/Catholic counseling, integrating faith-based perspectives for those seeking spiritual guidance with their counseling.
